Symptoms

Causes

There are many reasons for the appearance of such a disease. One of the most common is the effect of radiation on the brain.

• Head injuries;

Tumors can be located in different areas of the base of the skull. The most commonly affected areas are the nose, sinuses and nasopharynx. Therefore, the symptoms have a detailed appearance.

When a tumor forms at the base of the skull, symptoms manifest themselves due to damage to the brain: headaches, epileptic seizures, fainting, and more.

If the tumor has spread from the skull to the orbit, then visual impairment may occur.
If meningioma has formed in the nasopharynx area, then the clinical picture is as follows:

• Painful sensations in the face;
• Complete or partial impairment of breathing through the nose;
• Headache;
• Formation of mucus in the nose, often with blood;
• Sinusitis.
